Links on the Right

I have just added a couple of New Favorite Links. Women Wrestling Images is worth a visit due to its huge collection of pro-wrestling memorabilia in full size and colors.

Catfights Popularity

I have always considered the popularity of catfights in the movies as a given, but I got surprised to know that the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has 249 movies tagged with the catfight keyword! meaning that women fighting has some relevant parts in those listed movies.

It is always good to recall some pictures from one of the most famous catfights in feature movies, the one between the gypsies in James Bond´s "From Russia with Love".

The Fighting Cholitas

Yesterday I published a text and video about awful wrestlers but stunning girls. Today is the turn of good wrestlers (pro-style) but... not so stunning girls. They are the cholitas, indigenous peasant women from Bolivia, known by their multi layered skirts. They wrestle on week-ends in makeshift arenas for full crowded audiences in the capital and small villages. Their wrestling style is a mix of American and Mexican professional and they can dive from the top ring rope! as you can see in the clip.

They have been the subject of a well received documentary, "The Fighting Cholitas" (2006), where their daily life was faithfully portrayed according to the reviews.

"Extreme Wrestling"

The extreme in the title comes from the fact that girls in the ring are extremely hot. And wrestling because they are in a ring. Unfortunately, there is no wrestling at all. The video was produced by a Nude Model Wrestling League, very likely trying to emulate the Naked Women Wrestling League (see Nothing to Hide), but without much success.

What are they doing here? Well, one might wonder how would be an actual fight between those ladies, specially with the blonde in the yellow bikini.

Tapping Out (2)

The most correct title for this series should have been Tapping Out or ... Crying! As the clip shows, the defeated girl has no time or strength to tap out and just screams to the referee who stops the combat right away. Judging by the ring setup, I guess it was a fight from some Women´s Wrestling Convention (WWC). I have no information about the fighters.

Big Fighters, Big Wrestling

Everything is big here: fighters size, their resolve to win, and fighting skills. I was in doubt if I should call this entry "fight of thighs" because of the muscularity and size of these body parts in both wrestlers, which they effectivelly use to get falls.

The fight is a DWW production and it has the ever popular Petra against Ilona, both from Czech Republic. The clip shows some of the moments of this close contest. And it starts with our well known Jeff the Ref (see Who Was He?) announcing the contestants.

Havoc in the Ring

If two women fighting in a ring was a success with the public, four would double the audience. Moving forward, eight fighters would quadruple the audience and so forth. Wrestling promoters might have had this kind of thoughts, because for some time the so called battle royal - eight wrestlers free for all fighting in a ring - was the main act in many wrestling shows. Not much wrestling happened in those circuses however funny they might be.

I have found a good collection of You Tube clips with a crowd of women wrestlers in the ring and put them on Theater One. In one case, the ring population reached 21 girls! Space for holds and pins should have been quite scarce. It came from GLOW TV show, of course.

These battles show the imagination of wrestling promoters to find variations and this modus lutandi has been part of women wrestling history. That could be more interesting if they have adopted the approach of Double Trouble Wrestling on its video DT483 - Seven Deadly Sinners, with seven naked fighters (a near Battle Royal).

Much better, no? A sample of this video is on the "Naked Fight Smorgasbord" post.

My Favorite Wrestlers: Trisha and Becky

You might have noticed I have changed the top page picture few hours ago. Now Trisha - the brunnete in a dark swimsuit, is in advantage against Becky - the blonde in red. To the ones who are missing the old picture, it is still here.

Let me Go (3)

More well applied headscissors on this combined clip. If you have missed the first two installments of this series, they are here and here.

USA Women Pro Wrestling Scene

I have not followed the US women pro wrestling activities very closely lately. But it would be near impossible to add something of interest due to the huge amount of sites, forums, blogs and other information sources available on the Web.

Anyway, I put together some links to blogs which are focused on the subject, like Womens Wrestling, Women´s Pro Wrestling, Womens Wrestling Exposed and Red Hot Divas.

There you will find information and images about the stunning beauties who star the wrestling shows, like the ones below.

However, I still have to post a comment about the changes in the ladies wrestling scenario, from Fabulous Moolah to Torrie Wilson, from Joyce Grable to Sable.

Yet More Cavalier Comics (1 of 4)

This is the last of old Cavalier comics I will publish: I have just run out of material. I have made a change and will upload each of all four pages to the blog directly, one by one. I guess it works better than the Google Photos embedded technique. The first page will appear today and the others in the following days.

Flying Like Birds

Pro-wrestlers are capable of doing amazing things. One is flying. Even when they do not want to. There are body drops, divings, flying spinnings, splashs and many others wrestling moves where the fighter has to take off (if you want to see a list, Wikipedia has it). In all of them, the wrestler stays in the air for a split second before landing on the mat on top (or underneath) her opponent.

Clips below are a selection of those moves. Image quality is far from perfect after passing the originals through a series of format conversions.

Good Places to Start

If you are new to the female fighting scene, just knowing a few online places will help to build your own network and personal bookmarks library.

For links, start at Female Fight Fan, with lots of well organized links. Look also at UFFL and Diane the Valkyrie for additional links which may have slipped away from Female Fight Fan.

For a hefty video producer portal, you cannot be wrong starting with Female Fighting TV and L.Scott Sales, which hosts dozens of female fighting promoters.

As to the video producers themselves, APL, Danube Women Wrestling, GreenEyes and Kontex have plenty of choices on their shelves.

In doubt, you may always get good advice from my blogger colleagues Euro Fighting Girls and Catfight Photo Commentary.

Although not frequently updated, the forum Female Single Combat Club (bilingual russian-english) is a reliable source of women fighting history and social interconnections. Another forum, for fighting comics, is Femfight Comic-Book.

Video sharing is the specialty of You Tube, although tarnished by a hazardous censorship. Female figthing interest groups, like Catfight Fun, Girls Boxing and Fighting and Vicious Female Fighting Clips, are good starting points.

Last but not the least, Yahoo groups can be found at this Group List, compiled by a fan from Japan.

That is it. There are, of course, hundreds of other interesting sites you will have fun in discovering.

Fighting Star (7): Ziggy

Ziggy is one of that relatively small but muscular wrestlers who are always willing to face bigger opponents, giving them much trouble and extracting falls and pins here and there. She is a veteran also, having started at an young age as a bodybuilder, then moving to wrestling and very active until today. She is an adept of jiu-jitsu, does boxing as well and is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She has a background both in competitive fights against women and mixed fighting. Headscissors are a favourite Ziggy hold and she uses it to get submissions at the slip up of her opponent, as you can see in the clip below against Julie.

Attire preferences are bikini thongs, having appeared topless in many occasions, as below against Christine Dupree.

The clip below has a brief interview with Ziggy before a wrestling match against Helen von Mott.

Peeping at Home

The Web has allowed many businesses to flourish and others to be invented. On the other hand, some have almost disappeared, because the new interaction and delivery channel has made obsolete traditional setups.

We, female fighting fans of a certain age, can remember that a relatively cheap way to watch clips and full movies, was to pay a visit to the specialized peep shows. They were easy to find in big cities: Times Square and 42nd st in New York, rue St-Denis and rue de La Gaité in Paris, Soho District in London, were some of the neighborhoods where half a dozen shops carried the goods. One particular small shop, in a street off the Boulevard des Capucines in Paris, if I remember well, had dozens of tapes and magazines of everything related to female fighting.

Not so big cities also had their women fighting outlets also: San Francisco, in the vicinity of Market St, and Amsterdan in the Red Light District.

It is true that the Times Square in New York, in particular, had its peep shows evicted because of "the Giuliani Effect". But it was just a matter of time to see the Web changing the business and bring down the number of customers.

The general purpose porno shops have suffered as well; however, the ones which carried the female fighting material got a harder hit, and almost all of them have gone away. They could not compete with the home delivery and personal watching possibilities created by the Web. But I will miss them.

BBW

BBW stands for Big Boobies Wrestling and Theater Four has several clips on the subject. Fights can be competitive, scripted, or plainly silly, but all the fighters have chests of great magnitude.

As usual, I have below a more revealing clip of a production from the queen of BBW, Napali Video. I have to confess that is not my cup of tea, because there is little wrestling involved, but I had to include the subject on the Blog for the sake of completeness.

OMG! today, at the Napali online store, there is a photo of a fighter named Rhiannon, whose breasts make the above ones pale in comparison!

In The Raw For Real (7): Crystal

Crystal Films is well known for the grudge brawls they have produced along the years, with girls tearing apart clothes and everything else that they can get hold of. However, there have been some competitive naked fights produced by them, as this clip testifies. And the fight looks promising! Unfortunately, besides the few frames in the clip with the title, I do not have any additional information.

More Cavalier Comics

A new catfight comics (new in the Blog: it was published more than 10 years ago) from Cavalier magazine, always well done, always alluring.

Tapping Out (1)

Real and well done submissions in competitive fights are not very common. Sometimes one of the fighters is much stronger, and just get on top of the other to extract a fall using her sheer strength. In many other cases, the two are well paired off, and they fight until the exhaustion of one wrestler will decide the winner.

I have browsed my fighting archives to get the most interesting tap outs I could find. Here goes the first installment, taken from DWW FOM 148-01, where a gorgeous (and busty) Nikita extracts a submission from the also hot Wendy.

Compromising Positions

I have replaced the 3D Wrestling Slide Show (top right of the page) for a sequence of (almost) impossible wrestling holds. Regardless if they have been scripted or not, the resulting images are pretty good.

From Far East

Yes, it is wrestling manga again, but this time...from Korea !!! I had never crossed with female fighting media from there and I got surprised with the high graphical quality of the comics. It is another demonstration of the worldwide appreciation for women combats.

The dynamics and style are very similar to the japanese ones. I have below a comics front cover in color, but unfortunately I do not have the whole comics fight.

But I have one short story in black and white that is top quality.

Monday Housekeeping

We have new favorite links, including one from Sweden for amateur wrestling (male and female). Swedish-spoken only but you can easily translate it; navigating its links is funny.

All Theaters have new clips posted and they appear first on the board.

Thanks to everybody who have sent comments to the posts.

Fighting Star (6): Xana

I am including Xana in the Legends series because she has accomplished so much with her combative and fierce fighting style. She was born in Russia in 1970; later on, she moved to and became a citizen from Belgium, where she was trained by Beatrice Goffin.

Muscular and fit, Xana has participated in a lot of competitive fights for DWW, Athena2, APL and other producers. Most of the time, she has been on the winning side, applying her strength and skills to submit and pin her adversaries. I have said competitive, but Xana has at least one erotic fight against Nadege for DWW tribadism series.

In the sample clips ahead, you can taste Xana style, in a variety of fighting styles and attires (including no attire at all).

Out of sheer curiosity, when I have been in Rio de Janeiro on holidays (centuries ago...), I was told that xana (but pronounced as shana) means the women´s pleasure triangle...

The Fighters Who Came In From the Cold

Since the dismantling of Soviet Union, we have seen a grown interest in Russia and other former republics (e.g. Ukraine) for female fighting. Maybe the interest was there all the time and they just were not able to exchange with foreigners. Whatever the reason, they had overcome that and have today fighters, events, producers, foruns and blogs.

Theater Three has now a selection of YouTube clips depicting several types of combats involving women from Central and Eastern Europe. Bravery is one of the things that mark the behaviour of these combatants whatever the fighting style.

I have also added a clip selection of Non-YouTube-Acceptable (NYTA) material for your pleasure. The first one - from DWW - is outstanding by the fury of Olga and Sveita in getting the upper hand.

If you arrived here for the first time, let me inform you that Theaters are at the bottom of the page.

The Best Seat in the House

I still have to talk longer about face sitting pins - not the smothering fetish act - but the real holds where one of the wrestlers happens to be subdued by the foe´s bottom. I need to collect more material on the subject.

In the meantime, the fact is that I came across a clip of an old video, from APL (Klaudia vs Venus), which probably has one of the most remarkable face sitting one person can find out. Three things put this scene between the top ten: the endowments of Venus, her bottom attire and the camera angle. Enjoy it.

I heard some time ago that Venus was seriously ill; however, I have not gotten any recently update on that.

Old Times Are Back

I had uploaded a comics catfight to Google Photos - which you can see in the slide show below - when I found that an old men´s magazine was back online. Yes, it is Cavalier reborn.

They were well known in the female fighting community because they had the good habit of mixing beautiful naked women with catfights stories - The Fight Letters section - and comics. Their site is accepting subscriptions and although not displaying anything related to catfights in their samples yet, I hope they will stay up to the magazine tradition.

Well, below is the comics that came in the issue whose front cover we see above.

Fighting Cats (4): California Supreme

I was in doubt if I should classify these videos as naked competitive or catfights; but getting a fresh look at these quite old productions, it is clear that those intimate grabs, scratches and hair pullings are more of fighting cats.

California Supreme is an old veteran in the female fighting scene, if not the oldest one alive, having started in the Super-8 movie times. Founded by Ron Dvorkin some forty years ago, they have produced hundreds of competitive, catfights, boxing and mixed combats. Its topless and naked fights were marketed under the Bellstone banner. They also had a line of wrestling cartoons drawn by artists like Rosemary and Glynn.

They have produced videos with some young wrestlers who would be famous later on, like Robin and Lisa-Marie. The samples below do not have a good image quality, but give a good idea of California Supreme catfighting style.

They are still around, but I have not seen much activity on their Internet site lately. They have also a download section at the huge FemaleFightTv Portal.

On the Beach

I was browsing something else when I saw this section of a large movie of female fighting and thought it deserved a post. It is from DWW and features Timea C. against a fighter I could not identify. They are on a nice beach and after a few seconds they are completely coated by wet sand. It is a veritable cotoletta alla milanese ! (sorry, DWW girls, but I could not resist). It is not a serious fight, of course, but even so we can watch a grapevine and a cross pin holds.

Who Was He?

I will break a tradition here: I am going to talk about a guy. And a lucky guy. I have always been curious about a referee of dozens of fights, mostly in Europe but also in US (I cannot recall which one), who kept his coolness even in the middle of beautiful girls, many times topless or naked.

I saw him at many Beka (aka GMC - German Mat Club, as several blog readers have pointed out), Festelle and DWW combats. Who was he? I have never been able to find out. Look at him below amongst topless and naked beauties and wonder if he was paid for this job.

(Look at the comments if you want to know the answer)

Express Delivery

I do not miss the times when a person had to find wrestling outlets addresses, send mail to get the catalogs, then send money orders or checks and, if he were lucky, get his VHS tape (I hope you know what a VHS is) and watch his chosen women fight treat one or two weeks later. Lost money transfers, damaged or wrong tapes, content not matching the descriptions, were just some of the shortcomings of that process.

The Web has dramatically changed that. By the way, how many women fighting business have flourished because now is much easier to market and delivery the media? How much money is on that? Could you imagine a decade ago buying a wrestling video from Argentina or Russia?
And there is still room for improvements in market size: I do not believe the Chinese are able to produce or watch what they want in every part of their country today; Hong Kong can be different, though. Can you imagine a new 1.5 billion people market?

That was just a long introduction to the video-on-demand sites which offer women fight products over the Web. Below we see some of these sites, which I have used from time to time, which operates basically under the same model: either you download you movie or you watch on the screen paying by minute or for the whole product.

There are other providers as well. Some can be just a different front window to the same online store. Or maybe there is just one store with many fronts, I do not know. Most of these outlets are on the porn side of the Web, with a variety of sex fetishes. You have to search for catfighting, women wrestling or a similar, to find your stuff.

Crabs in the Theater

Theater Two has started showing a selection of boston crab holds. It is also one of my favorite holds. As usual, clips are taken from You Tube, and also as usual, I have uploaded two other boston crab clips, which You Tube would not allow to stay there for more than a few seconds. The second one has Christine Dupree applying the hold.

Just in case you have not noticed, Theaters are displayed at the bottom of the page.

Pin Down Girl

That was the title of a 1951 big screen movie with a gangster plot as background, but which turned out to be more of an women pro-wrestling feature in the end. Starred by the real-life pro-wrestlers Peaches Peage, Clara Mortensen and Rita Martinez, it had lots of ring scenes as you can notice from the official trailer below. "Racket Girls" was the movie alias name.

The women fighting subject appears on the USA movie main street from time to time. I can count "Kansas City Bomber" (1972), the roller-derby movie with Raquel Welch, and "All The Marbles" (1981), with Peter Falk, Vicki Frederick and Laurene Landon, already commented here. By far, the most succesful was "Million Dollar Baby" (2004), with Clint Eastwood and Hillary Swank, a boxing feature very well played.

Thongs and Butts (2)

It is a good fighting clip, worth seeing by its sporting value. What adds substance - and much substance - is what the black teddy of one of the wrestlers uncovers.

Gold Worthing Girls

Tanned, gorgeous, fitted, sparkling eyes, healthy, perfect chests: who could be? the Golden Girls from California, for sure. Of course, I am not talking about the TV series but about the women wrestling troupe who was so successful in the 80´s. Belinda Belle, Golden Cat, Peaches, Pam Ward, Spice, Lynn-Marie, Sue Bowser, Shelly, Leora, Connie and companions, in their peak form and looks, wrestling, catfighting and boxing for our pleasure.

Attires could vary: high-cut bikinis, sometimes topless, swimsuits, and lingerie. But always with the spotless beauty. I miss them.

The first sample clip has a very young Shelly, topless as should be.

I remember one particular fight of Lynn-Marie against Michelle, both topless with tiny bikini bottoms. In a given instant, Lynn-Marie´s bikini bottom got offside her crotch, starting to revealing what it should hide; unfortunately for us, in a split second she fix the show-off with a shyness look on her face. However, not much time later, I found the same Lynn-Marie, not so shy now and with a different name, fully naked and exposed in a catfighting for Savage Video. An artist, really...

Anyway, Lynn-Marie appears in the second sample clip here, taking a thorough beating from Golden Cat.

Golden Girls videos are still available for download at Female Wrestling dot Net. The naked catfighting series - Savage Videos, is also available there. There is also an Yahoo Group with some good stuff on the Golden Girls.

Classic Big

Sally McNeil and Dawn Whitham are facing each other on Theater Three "Big Wrestlers". Long clip. Don´t miss it.

Let me Go (2)

I have missed the headscissors here in the Blog since its first installment more than one month ago. For this reason, I grabbed three other fine samples of this hold from my vault and put them below.

All clips show the moment that the wrestler in the receiving end reverses the position, and then applies the headscissors. I also appreciate the victim struggle to get rid of the hold and sometimes achieving that.

The one below is not the best secured hold I ever seem, but the wrestlers (from TPC Video) are so sexy dressed that I have selected it.

The one below is from Golden Girls and show the victim escaping and getting trapped again and again.

The following is a classic pro-match, very likely from Mildred Burke. A funny thing to notice is the fighters awareness of the camera position, moving around on the mat to deliver the best view to the watchers as the hold evolves.

Housekeeping

Some things go away, others come on in fresh. I have deleted a few links because they were going nowhere. Forums are specially fragile these days: they blossom and then they commit one or two missteps and are ruled out of the game. Inactive blogs have been removed too.

One remark I should have done before: I do not endorse any one of these sites and blogs, despite liking pretty much half a dozen of them. I visit them from time to time and have bought products here and there. They do not pay a single penny to be displayed in this blog and I keep my independence to praise and criticize products.

On the Theater section, "Big Wrestlers" and "Tag Teams" have new clips: check them out at the page bottom. And the Female Fighting Search has included many specialty sites in the search scope in the last two weeks and has worked pretty reasonably. Let me remind everybody that it includes mixed wrestling as well.

The image? just a nice fight in ancient times.
