The Delta Troup

They were in the right direction, with competitive fights either in a ring or on a mat, with down-to-earth solid girls. Delta Tiger Lillies is vintage but quite actual as to the real fights genre. Later on, probably for market reasons, they came onboard of the conventional pro-wrestling ship and vanished.

More samples to come next week.

  1. Wow, I had no idea DTL were putting out REAL , competitive wrestling ... I thought they were all about the 'pro' stuff. While they were active I never paid them any attention. I really missed out :>(

From these examples their stuff looks like it's comparable to VSL ... and that's saying a lot.

Anyone know if you can still buy their stuff ?

  2. Manzerman (http://www.impacthosting.com/manzerman/bargains.html) and Rockin-Roxanne (http://www.rockin-roxanne.com/) have some tapes/DVDs.
You can also rent from FFVRC (http://ffvrc.com/D.html): they have most of the competitive fights if not all.

  3. It was never better than in this era. The first vids I ever saw were California Supreme, and these were OK at the time, but when I saw my first Premier match my jaw dropped. Premier not only had great wrestling, but the thong back leotards were super hot. You should do an ode to Premier at some point.

  4. Thanks - some good memories! I particularly likeed the women in the second clip with the platinum blonde hair and red bathing suit - very quick and aggressive, she may have know some judo as well. Does anyone know who she is?

  5. Yes, Premier Productions deserves a place in the Blog. I have scheduled a post on their old material for the coming week talking about one feature of their wrestlers (what could be? wait and see). But I will add more on Premier in the next weeks.

As to the gorgeous fighter in red, her battle name is Marilyn and her opponent is Bambi (btw, this one has a strong ressemblance with Lynn-Marie, from Joan Wise).

  6. Can't wait to see the tribute to Premier .... my favorite producer. They were lousy at customer relations as far as getting info about wrestlers, future match-ups, etc. unlike say DWW who liked to hear feed back from customers and discussing things.

Preimer's style of match is what I always liked and one of the very few producers who knew how to film the action. They also had the ideal girl in their camp, too ... Charlene Rink. Man, if I could have computer-designed a girl wrestler from my life time of female wrestling fantasies on looks, wrestling style and skill level ... you'd have Charlene. Her matches with Lois Smucker and Pavla are still two of my favorite matches I ever saw. Broke my heart when she retired. I hoped to see her wrestle Jill Munroe at some point. I suggested that to Premier a number of times but like I said, they apparently weren't into correspondence with fans.

  7. Thanks Astrogalo. Did these women ever wrestle for other companies? There was a good amount of skill with DTL.

  9. Jim,

Check out Killertube - they have a full match of Charlene Rink versus Lynn McCrossin.

I also loved watching Charlene - incredible body and the moaning and groaning :) She did seem a bit overrated though in terms of how good she was though.

  10. Thanks , I did see that but I have nearly all Charlene's Premier matches against females including that one.

I know she wasn't the 'best' technically which is one of the things I liked about her ... she was just good enough. For me, once they get too skilled it becomes boring and loses it's sexiness.

Thanks for letting me know about that clip :>) What I also saw on Killer and couldn't believe was a clip of Charlene stripping in a night club. I didn't know she did that ... thought she just did the fitness competitions and wrestling.

  12. Hello. This is perhaps my favorite style of female combat. The girls are competitive, the matches are intense, and the attire is adequate enough. In fact, part of my comment is to applaud and request more of this kind of combat. Also, if you would, I believe that clips from the ECNWC would be much appreciated. Thanks and keep it up.....
