Where Did They Get The Name of This Hold From?

A spladle is a combination of a leg split with a cradle and it is not unusual to see this embarrassing hold being used in men amateur wrestling. However, it is much rarer in women amateur fights: the one below - not a full featured spladle but the best I could find - shows a girl almost getting a pin using it. It is a nice fighting scene. But the second and last spladle in the clip has my preference.
