A Pionner Is Gone

I have just received the news of the passing two days ago of Judell Dulong, one of the most influential wrestler and combats producer in the 1970s and 1980s. She was responsible for promoting a lot of competitive matches filmed with seriousness and professional quality when most of women fighting was either home made porn spin-offs or pro-wrestling circus. I still watch with pleasure her films, specially the Camp Amazon ones. Requiescat in Pace, Judell.

  1. I enjoyed the matches she produced many years ago. Probably the most enjoyable were the matches between some of the regulars (Skarvans, etc) and Treena when she first appeared on the scene.

  2. As a girl who learned to wrestle through Judell, I owe her so much. She was so good to me and a beacon of support.

Her company went under for all the reasons it was great. The wrestling was totally real, our chests and crotches were covered and were focused on winning rather than putting on a show for the boys.

I mourn her passing. And I mourn that there is not a market for the type of wrestling we did.

  3. Sad to hear of her passing.A feat provider of Womens Wrestling during the 70s and 80s when genuine combat was very limited.Thank you for the entertainment R.I.P

  4. R.I.P for one of the greatest!!! I am very sorry!!!

  5. Here is a link to Judell's obituary

Condolences to her family, friends, and many fans that she touched. R.I.P

  6. I still have two personal notes written to me from Judell from 1978 and 1981 respectively. They were in her own handwriting and most sincere. I shall treasure them always.
