Back to Work

I got a replacement computer while the original is in the hardware hospital being examined; so, keep sending your helpful and informative comments as usual.

Competition in Theater Two

On this Sunday rotation, Theater Two has a selection of You Tube clips where the fighters are really trying to extract a submission or a pin from the other. Theaters are at the bottom of the page.

Glossy Girls

Bizarre Magazine is not exactly my female fighting source of preference but they have one or two atractive essays with voluptuous girls in battle scenarios. The Aria vs Bianca pictures below - whose essay made the cover on March 2008 issue - are a good example of that. There is also a making-of video clip of that essay on the Bizarre Web site.

Hell of a Movie

I was missing the WIP ("women in prison") catfights and then decided to upload a decent sample clip. It is from ¨Escape from Women´s Hell Hole" (1978), grade C movie in a grade B genre. For some reason, the catfight heroines are with their slips on and the spectators are displaying their bushes. But that does not diminish the movie interest.

Computer in the Drydock

My computer went nuts and I have sent it to a repair shop. For a few days, I will not be able to publish your comments. However, I already had some posts in the waiting line and you will have a few new texts and images displayed in the following days. I hope they return the dead beast by Tuesday. Sorry.

Definitely Gross

Sometimes I am in a mood of demonstrating this blog is designed for mature audiences. Therefore, this collection of crotch views in female fights is a sort of statement.

Sorry, but my computer crashed for the 11th time this week and I had to use this images as an outburst. Only my shrink can explain the relationship...

Wrestling Comedy

The creativity of women fighting producers sometimes has an outcome more of a comedy than of a combat. That is the case of this DWW video where girls pretending to be Greek soldiers - maybe Spartans - fight in a court room to an women only audience.

The girls are not bad but those ludicrous mini-skirts spoiled any interest the fight could have had.

Moms Can Fight Too!

Age is not a limiting fact for an woman to fight. The moms in the clip below have engaged in pro and competitive wrestling with skill and determination (and some extra pounds too...). First two clips are from the now extinct Lady Hawke which I was fond of.

Nice example below, probably from an event in England.

Rated X Schoolgirl Pins

If you have felt frustrated with Theater One schoolgirl pins a la You Tube, the selection below will lessen it. It has samples from Festelle, DWW and Crystal Films, the later one in the typical basement fight style.

Theater One: Schoolgirl Pins

I have managed to find a dozen of clips posted on You Tube with nice schoolgirl pins. So, they are now on Theater One for your enjoyment.

If you like the subject, there go some links of interest: Maxsgpin55catfight, Sgpin Yahoo Group and Schoolgirl Pin Group.

Mature Grapes

More grapevines tasting in the samples below: the first has Francesca against Kristiana for Double trouble, and the second is a nothing to hide hold between two unknown fighters, probably from a Joan Wise production.

If you like the subject, there is a previous post here.

Fighting Cats (6): More Crystal

Crystal Films is another venerable fighting promoter still alive and well, although I have not seem a huge flow of productions lately. Despite some trials with other genres they are basically a cage of cats. In the later years, most videos are in a category I call "in-house street fighting": plain girls in plain clothes try to tear off each other garments and to broke some ribs as well. If there was a script, those ladies certainly forgot it. Fighting scenery is your neighbor´s living room.

Much more interesting were the Hellfire Club productions, shot in some New York City basement in a 6 x 6 foot ring. Genuinely raunchy, club fights usually finished with the girls naked and bruised.

All Crystal Films productions are available at its site here.

With help from STJ, Double Trouble, DWW, SleeperKid´s and a couple of others there is a new slide show on the page top right, entitled Helpless (wrestling holds, of course).

Favorite Competitive Fights (2): At The Convention

This fight happened ten years ago at the Women´s Wrestling Convention (WWC 98) and it still is in my favorites list. It has Hana - in a blue suit, overpowering Vera with helpless pins. Apparently, they did not have a scaffold for the camera and shot all the scenes at the mat level. Best for voyeurs.

Both wrestlers were with DWW at that time and are retired now. The company still has the fight in its catalog as EU-59.

You Tube Niceties

Some clever guy has posted on You Tube a collection of well chosen US pro-wrestling clips with Christina Aguilera "Fighter" as a soundtrack. Really nice.

You Tube Blues

Many You Tube uploaders who have tried to post anything but babies photos have experimented the surprise of seeing his clip expelled for some "no compliance with internal rules". For example, the clip below stayed there for 2 or 3 months, then got that remark and it was removed.

What was the problem? Copyrights? Adult sex material? Bad wrestling? Sagging butts? I will never know.

A Couple of Links

I have posted three links for anime fighting in the New Favorites section. They are from Japan and use Japanese only except for a few side columns. But finding the images - a lot of them - is no big deal and you can easily translate the text using the automatic Web translators.

Theater Four: Thongs & Butts

From now on, Theater Four is showing fighters with a variety of skills and styles but sharing nice curves in the back and stamp size bikini bottoms.

If you are new here, Theaters are at the page bottom.

Stop-and-Go Wrestling

It is amazing how people develop ways to create custom wrestling matches with no limits but their own imagination. I have seen text stories, simple and elaborate drawings, 3D pictures, anime and 3D animation, but for the first time I saw women wrestling created using the traditional stop-and-go animation technique. This guy on You Tube has some 20 fights in the pro-wrestling style, everyone created with simple models but very carefully. I have embedded some of his (?) creations in the playlist below.

Fighting Star (9): Joan Wise

Joan Wise site was alive already in 1994: I can quite remember browsing its catalog on that year. If it was not the first women wrestling producer to offer pictures and videos over the Net, it should be among the early three or so. And that has grown to a full sales site and spin-offs - the GreenEyes brand - with hundreds of their own productions plus goods from other female fighting promoters. This pioneering and successful enterprise in the world of female fighting is the main reason to nominate Joan Wise.

But she is also here in the Legends series because she was an accomplished fighter as you can see in the picture sequence against Lee Price and in the clip against Allison. And because she was sexy too!

Different Skin Colors, Same Attitude

These clips of interracial combats show good fights despite unequal skills and sizes. There are catfights, competitive and semi-competitive bouts.

Summertime Wrestling

It is summertime in the northern hemisphere and our fighting girls went to the beach to a well deserved vacation. But what they do while enjoying the sunshine in the sands? Some grappling is always fun!

Old Hairstyles

It was mentioned elsewhere in the Blog that one can estimate the age of a movie with a naked woman by the way she had trimmed her hair: her pubic hair. Looking at the clips below at the clips below, I would guess they were shot in the early 80´s or before.

One Remaining Cavalier Catfight (4 of 4)

Fourth and last installment of "Showdown at Diner", Cavalier catfight comics.

Wrestling Beauties (1): The Scottish Lass

I always had a crush on Jill, the wrestler who appeared in many Woman's World Video, one of the most active producers in the trade. Beautiful face and fit body, with curves in the right places and a perfect tan shade, she became a kind of star of WWV productions for her looks.

As to the wrestling side, not much to praise: some cases of semi-competitive fights but many others in the fantasy category and quite a few in the ludicrous genre, as the two final segments in the sample clip below.

One Remaining Cavalier Catfight (3 of 4)

Third installment of "Showdown at Diner", catfight comics of Cavalier.

Theater Three Renovation

A dozen or so of figure four leg locks are on exhibition on Theater Three. Most from pro-wrestling and many from Japan. As the cartoon below.

One Remaining Cavalier Catfight (2 of 4)

Second installment of "Showdown at Diner", catfight comics from Cavalier.

The Vanished Magazines Case

Another media business killed by the Web was the trade magazine specialized in fetishes and women fighting in particular. Distributed by video stores and peep shows, these magazines complemented the moving images of VHS tapes. Some resisted for years with regular issues - like Amazons in Action. Others, like Battling Bitches, were more hazardously published and slowly disappeared.

To my knowledge, this magazine format has never been successful over the Web. The producers themselves or in association with sales portals have offered their goods directly to the public. Regardless of Web success and the spread of choices we have today, I miss the comments and interviews printed by some of the vintage magazines.

You can find these and other old magazines on EBay and at Wiwa Online Store.

One Remaining Cavalier Catfight (1 of 4)

I have found another old Cavalier catfight comics and I will post it here in four installments. Same class as the other ones already posted, maybe one notch higher in quality.

The Gentle Way

Since a long time ago, women have participated in the sport of Judo, the Japanese martial art created at end of 19th century. It is an olympic sport and highly competitive. I am not fond of standing up style of Judo, mostly with strikes and thrusts, but sometimes fights develop on the ground given chance to watch real good submitting holds like the two head scissors below. The first clip is soundless.

Las Vegas Style Wrestling

As you might have guessed, I will talk about GLOW, the 80´s TV show that reached indisputable success through innovation and tuning with the times. Born in Las Vegas, what explains its sport & varieties style, the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling have plenty of reasons to justify the gorgeous in the brand but much less for the wrestling. I believe that was the creator´s intention since the beginning and nobody can deny the business sense of that.

The show was clearly conceived around some key points and they never moved away from them: beautiful girls, sexy attires, special characters and off-the-ring short stories. It was broadcasted over the large networks and never forgot to provide camera shots designed to display the best assets of the girls. No wonder a few detractors had started to call the show "crotch wrestling".

Criticisms aside, they knew the basics of pro-wrestling as you can see in these excerpts of Sally the Farm´s Daughter vs Godiva.

These two wrestlers had the opportunity to show off in a 1989´s Playboy essay.

Farmer´s Daughter

Below there is another GLOW´s sample, with Hollywood - in black - against Roxy Astor.

And this time, only Hollywood appeared for Playboy´s photographers.

A proof of the show´s appeal is the fact that the present franchise owners still sell videos and merchandise from GLOW on their site.

If you ask me, Spanish Red was my favorite character in GLOW´s cast and my choice is mostly based on her beauty and sexiness.

More details about GLOW´s history are available here.

Thongs and Butts (3)

Nice fighters, nice wrestling (although semi-competitive) and... nice attires. Alltogether, Steel Kittens has done a nice job in these two combats from which I have extracted the small sample below. The images do not require any additional comments.

Pit of Snakes

I found this site so good that I could not help but publishing it right away. It is the Snake Women Wrestling, signed by Vivaldi, and comprises a full collection of drawings of the tightest wrestling holds you have ever seen. Great art and great holds.

The Compromising Positions slide show on the right is no match for these holds.

Fighting Cats (5): Kontex

Kontex is a female fighting powerhouse that produces a lot of movies besides representing other promoters from Europe. Its catalog at its site is huge and grows by hour according to the newsletters which reached my mailbox.

They have other fighting genres but catfights are their main course. As every women fighting video maker, they have their own style. In general, the looks of the girls are average - much as your neighbor or co-worker, the battle pace is slow but fierce, and settings seem to be located in an attic of a friend. Soon or later, Kontex ladies will grab the breast and genitals of each other with gusto. I believe the girls get hurt during the fights which usually last for long minutes.

They also have another trend in their casting: large ladies and I mean really large.

Misterious Sexy Pro-Wrestling

For some unknown reason, I find some fights sexier than others. That is the case of the one below, held a good decade or more ago, with both wrestlers in full old fashioned swimsuits. Almost the whole fight is on the video below. And the action is good too. I do not have the wrestlers names, though. It seems the two in red attire who battle against the one in white are twins, are not they?

Humm... the thrill might have come from the fact the lady in red is using a swimsuit one size number smaller than the necessary.

Fighting Star (8): Magnificent Mimi

I have found many comments on Magnificent Mimi on the Web but not many mentions about her sexiness. I would like to make a point on this because I believe that has helped her career. She is on my top 10 list in this regard. Besides the picture below, there is a more revealing one in a previous post, both taken on her essay for Playboy in 1989.

(Yes, it is Mimi above...)

However, she has not owed her success only to her body gifts but to the fact she is a multi talented woman, with accomplished skills in sports and performing arts (where I classify the pro-wrestling genre, by the way).

Born Mimi Lesseos, she was trained in martial arts and soon entered the American pro-wrestling scene, having appeared for the American Wrestling Association (AWA), the Ladies Professional Wrestling Association (LPWA) and a couple more. She also did at least a fight for Golden Girls, against Belinda, early on her career.

After retiring from pro-wrestling, she opened her own movie company - Stepping Out Productions - which has released four productions, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). It is from one of its movies - Pushed to the Limit - the clip below, where she faces the villain in the final fight.

(It is the villain, not Mimi above...)

She is an accomplished stunt woman (besides doing the fights, as a driver!) and actress, and has participated in several TV series and Hollywood full-length movies. She played one of the boxers in the Million Dollar Baby award winning movie by Clint Eastwood.

Other blogs have more biographical data on Mimi, like Women Pro Wrestling and Female Fighting News. For her acting on films, look at Turner Classic Movies. Her personal site is dead but there is a Yahoo Group with many pictures.

I have to point out a certain meanness in some Mimi combats, as revealed on this blog post, where in the second clip she extracts one of best pro-wrestling wedgies on the record.

Last, I have amassed a good collection of Mimi clips posted on You Tube and that will make the Theater Two (see at the bottom of the page) for a while.

Break for a Catfight Message

Many of you - specially the Americans, remember the Miller Lite beer commercial on January 2003 depicting two beautiful women starting an argument, fighting with bare hands, dropping themselves in a water fountain and ending half naked in a cement pool. It was the most famous use of a catfight to promote a product and raised a lot of debates inside and outside the media advertising community. Here goes the uncensored version, just in case you have missed it.

The catfighters were Kitana Baker and Tonya Ballinger who became outright famous after the commercial exhibition on prime TV spots like the SuperBowl.

More recently, in 2006, the women fashion retailer French Connection used the same concept to promote the chain, using ads like the outdoor picture and clip below.

I had thought of writing a few lines commenting the use of women fighting to atract consumers. But somebody else had already done that with competence and depth. It was written in the year 2000, but it is still actual. It is called "Fighting in Ads" and it was done by Barbara F., a woman comentator of the ladies wrestling scene. There you may find opinions very similar to mine about the subject.

For many years, Barbara run a very neat site, informative and balanced. A tribute image of her Combative Women site is available here.

Blog Housekeeping

I am publishing here the results of our first poll held on May/08. I am getting that out of the permanent position on the page in order to save some precious space.
I guess the topics published here in the Blog are not much further away from the audience preferences. Nude/Erotic and Catfighting are the most searched subjects. Personally, I like Competitive and Anime/Cartoons too. Anyway, I will do another pool soon.

Favorite Competitive Fights (1): Thong Combat

Everybody has a list of favorites as to competitive fights, whatever the reasons for the chosen ones: skills, aggressiveness, realism, girls sexiness, ... The key here is competition: no script, no winner decided beforehand. Let us concede that, if they play a scripted fight well, we will accept it as competitive.

Either way, I consider the APL 276 Xana vs Klaudia one of my favorites. Besides the good wrestling and the skimpy thongs, it finishes with a face sitting domination (not shown here) by the winner.
